I believe Rich and Jim posted a while back that they sold Frenesi, but she would continue to be Frenesi and not become something else. I don't know if that has changed or not.

Rich,

What is the plan with Frenesi? Is she gone for good, or will she be coming back to you?

She is gone for good I think as she was registered to Comanche Fighters LLC earlier this month: http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry ... rtxt=357FG
Where is located Les Chapman workshop BTW?

Les and his company are moving the A/C.
Where it will go for assembly is unknown to me.

Dan is going to keep it as Frenesi; unsure where it will be completed and looking forward to seeing her together again. It's been since 2003.

The current hangar project for the winter is to replace the MLG trunions in the wings of Bald Eagle.
I'll try to keep you updated as we go through this process.

Be careful Jim & Rich, or you might just end up redoing the whole airplane. It's easy to get carried away if you don't stick to just one task!

Since you asked are you offering to help?

Maybe a dumb question Rich but I'm full of those. What prompted the trunnion change? Anything special I should look for next time SUSU comes up for annual?

Sure I'll help! I'm a bit far away, but I'll figure something out... Can't argue with safety, its the name of the game

It's usually just the bushing bores that enlarge/wear. Is there another problem?

Glenn,
That would be a more exact description of what I am doing. No other problem noted for the moment.

G'Day Guys,

Here, in the land of Oz, we have a CASA AD that requires the MLG trunnions, P/N 17-33163 or 66584, (yes, I know that these are CAC part numbers) to be mag particle inspected every 250 landings or after a heavy landing. See http://www.casa.gov.au/ADfiles/under/mu ... NG-002.pdf .
I don't have the NAA equivalent part numbers to hand right now, but I do know that there is a later, strengthened trunnion produced by NAA that doesn't require this repetitive inspection. Worth keeping in mind.

Is there anything that a volunteer could help out with? I'd probably be great at cleaning up my own drool off the floor.
