Credit this for yesterday when I saw a T-6, Stearman and Fiesler Storch fly at the Collings Foundation WW2 weekend. Also saw a Szdkw 251 Halftrack, and Stug III drive and a FLaK 88 fire! Not to mention the M3 Stuart, M4 Sherman, M18 Hellcat, M3 Halftrack and M24 Chafee. Plus German Ford trucks and a BMW motorcycle sidecar, a Kubelwagen and a Kettenrad! I didn't see the Kettenrad run. 
Over 150 reenactors participated and one group of "Canadians" even had a PIAT! All in all a very fun day even if the Allies had to retreat. Supposedly today there will be a different outcome. I really liked the lay out this year they had the Allied camp through the woods at one end of the airstrip and the German camp back near the hangar and garage. There was a group of "Russians" this year and a couple of Moroccan "Goums". I got a lot of walking in. This year my Christmas present to myself is going to be a SLR digital camera!

OK, so I told you about my Stearman flight on the separate thread. Now I look to the WIX brain. I was painting outside earlier today and heard a jet, T-33 I thought. Headed about 160 at 1:00-ish was the sillouette of a T-33. Looked silver with red tip tanks. Now the question, it had a V tail! 
WTF was that? I'd swear a near perfect T Bird profile with straight wings and tip tanks but unless I was sniffing too many paint fumes, it had a V tail. Am I nuts? (about the tail guys)

You guys are good! So, who has one in the Wisconsin area that was heading South today? Silver/red tips? Let's see how long this takes.

I heard than saw Aluminum Overcast fly over today. What a great joy it is to see a B-17 Fly over and hear that beautiful sound!

I didn't see it & therefore don't know what it was, but some bugger *boomed* Antelope Valley this evening at about 17.05 hrs & it was LOUD! Not the usual muffled booms we normally get every day, this was more like a Shuttle boom, someone was fast AND low.... I was in the back yard & my kid came running out of the house when it happened.

Got to see a N3N fly for about 2 minutes. At 50 degrees and a crosswind at 15, it was quick. I made the decision to stay on the ground where it was just a bit warmer..............now its winter maint time.

There was 7 CH-146 Griffon helicopters (Canadian military version of the Bell 412) parked at Vancouver International airport, they're here participating in a security exercise for the 2010 winter Olympics in Vancouver.
Also seen a Boeing 757 with Texas Rangers markings on it.

Funny....in the 30 mins I got to "see" a Bird BK fly I came to pretty much the same conclusion, although I am not quite willing to let go of the season yet.....
Also saw a nice looking T-28 depart Doylestown, Pennsylvania. No photo as my hands and feet were a little busy.
Lastly, not aviation related except that they do "fly," 22 Cobras stopped through Van Sant airport yesterday. A partial view of the lineup:

Your a little farther south than us. Your season can last a bit longer. Last night we were gettting snow at 1,500 ft +.......Were done here!

The other side has the Dallas Stars markings on it. They played the Canucks yesterday.

I didn't know that, you learn something new every day! I could only see the side of the 757 with the Texas Rangers on it.

The Stars seem to be snakebit this year with shootouts so far. All of their losses so far came from shootouts.
