Thanks for the update and pics!!
Technically, these are Starliners (1649 rather than 1049) but they are still Connies in my eyes. Also, there is a thread in Vintage Aviation on these, in case a mod is interested in merging.

In general we throw around the term "restoration" pretty freely concerning the various projects we talk about. I submit that the first two photos of this thread are an accurate depiction of a true restoration.

The aircraft outside is being used for parts. I believe the plan is that at the end, it will get a static restoration and be donated to a museum.
