Super Constellations in Maine

I thought I would post these here so more people might see it, but the Mods are welcome to move it. These are the Connies in Maine. These folks are doing a amazing job of restoring this Bird.

Thanks for the update and pics!!

Technically, these are Starliners (1649 rather than 1049) but they are still Connies in my eyes. Also, there is a thread in Vintage Aviation on these, in case a mod is interested in merging.

Wow, great pictures! I would love to visit and see the facility. Wonder why they sprayed primer on every rivet line?

In general we throw around the term "restoration" pretty freely concerning the various projects we talk about. I submit that the first two photos of this thread are an accurate depiction of a true restoration.

The aircraft outside is being used for parts. I believe the plan is that at the end, it will get a static restoration and be donated to a museum.
