This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Hmmmm should I go......I suppose, since it's a whole 8 miles from home. Any warbird show is a good warbird show!!

If so, will it be located in front of the show line with bleachers like last year?
could we possibly see a return to the bean field?!
I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope...
The battle will be on the main show line, and will include all the B-17s, Me-109, Mustangs and maybe more

How about getting them a little time to practice formation stuff before the weekend?
Get em in there for Thursday, not Saturday morning.
That's the one thing I would love to see is if they could form up a little closer this time around. Don't get me wrong, I loved the last show with '17s but it'd just be great to see all of the aircraft in a closer formation.
Either way, I definitely going to plan on being there.

Someone asked about what type of "battle" there would be.... well, I've had LOTS of homework this week, so my ideas are not the best but I thought it would be cool for them to form up and each drop a ton of something like watermelons on the field
I've seen things like that with flower bags and remote control airplanes. I know... just a goofy thought

Well, if The B-17G "909" shows up, presumably the B-24J, TP-51C and ........(drum roll) .......Me-262 will be there as well.

Ohhhhh, that would be AWESOME!!!! Get all of the available German 88's on the ground as the formation passes over then make another pass where the formation gets jumped by the 262 and 109 as the Mustangs go after them. Then have the Mustangs make dive bombing runs on the 88's as the infantry comes in and tries to take them out as well. YEAH BABY!!!

That's about what I was thinking! But it looks like we will need to go with smaller flak guns.

Have the B-17's a ways up but take it back a couple years and let the TWO B-24's come in low in tribute to the Ploesti raid.

It's pretty neat to see all of this heavy metal in the skies... But, frankly, this is allready been done, so what will set this apart from the last B-17 gathering?
Well, this would certainly fit the bill! Alan Brooks

It needs nothing to "set it apart".

You forgot one. . . why not a B-17, B-29, and B-52? Now that would be one incredible all-Boeing, all-bomber Heritage Flight!!!
Cheers,
