This Friday we are taking a plane down south to practice the Heritage Flight with Rick Sharpe and his AC-47.

Next Friday,we're heading out to Midland with a C-17. We're doing the flight demo and heritage flight all three days.

Anybody that comes to the show, be sure and come by the plane and say hi.

I'll be there, hopefully trading out the right seat duties with Calvin Allen in the Yellow Rose. Ron Dietes and Grant Lannon will trade out the left seats. Grant will be flying the P-39 up on Wednesday to attend the TRARON check pilot meeting and Ron Iberg will fly it in the show. We plan to take off from San Marcos Thursday morning about 10am in the Rose, which should have us at Clear Springs in time for lunch!

Of course that all depends on the weather. So far the weather guess for Wednesday at MAF shows a slight chance of showers with a high in the mid-80's. Might need a light jacket after sunset.

Remember, any of y'all coming to Midland from the east, try to make a circle or two over Austin Acres. If you draw a line between downtown Midland and the Skywest Airport (7T7), I'm about 5 miles or so SSW of downtown, and roughly 1 mile South of the interstate.

It oughta be pretty easy to spot, as Austin Acres is painted on the top of the wings of the Stratolina, along with also being mowed into the grass on the NW corner of the property. And.......as a bonus, if I hear ya' coming, I'll be sure to turn on my newly installed smoke system on my lawn mower, so that you can better spot the place.
