Great photos but "just East of Hartford.
Simsbury Airport is like any little grass strip" :?
You must have been tried
More like NNW of Hartford and asphalt.
Sorry, I'm still mad for staying home on that lovely day to watch the Pats lose to the J*E*t*S
Why not have the show on Saturday, you know, no NFL,NASCAR and the Sox where playing a nite game  and the show ended at 3? To early.

Does anyone know if that Widgeon is, perhaps, the Widgeon that was located in Geneseo, NY at the National Warplane Museum around the 1989-1990 time period? From what I recall, that plane was flown out to a new owner in CT and was the exact McKinnon conversion shown here...

I kick myself for not having photos or data on it... I was only 10 years old when I saw it.

Thanks!

kalamazookid,
If you want to see what a Lycoming R-680 powered Widgeon looks like, check out the following links to Airliners.net:

The Widgeon in question is G-44 N404Q, c/n 1388, and the photos were taken at Miami Kendall-Tamiami Executive in February 2001.

I know this thread is supposed to be about airplanes, but, OMG, I'm absolutely in LOVE with that red Deuce roadster with the full-house flattie!

The Cessna 195 is a real looker, too!

Cheers,
