This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

It is a shame none of the early models are flying, just loved that look of the late 30's AAC birds.

Being that the collings boys travel together, think it would be far fetched that the CAF would show up with 927 and have the two B-24's there also??? With their normal collection of fighters, that would be dam impressive for a ETO memorial flight.

Also, 44-83785 - 'Shady Lady' is a static display supposedly maintained in airworthy condition at the Evergreen Aviation Museum, McMinnville, Oregon.
Not even close. She hasn't flown in years and need the spar ad done.
Unless she's sold do expect anything to happen to her.
I'd expect the gas station bomber to make it into the air first

I got permission from "She Who Must Be Obeyed" earlier this evening. . . If my work scheduled allows, I'll be there!

Jeff, obviously you weren't at TOM two years ago, when not only were both B-24's there, but they also flew together for the show.

It would be nice to see the two of them again.
Lets order sunshine this time.
Bernadette and I will be there.
Cheers,

Wow, what a letdown. A repeat theme. Who wants to see big, slow B-17s?

I was hoping for a jet truck theme this year.
All kidding aside, I hope "Texas Raiders" or "Aluminum Overcast" (or both!) are able to make it this time. I haven't had the chance to see either in a long time.
I also hope the strong presence from the Russell Group and Vintage Wings of Canada continues. These aircraft have definitely been the highlight for me when they've been at past TOM shows.
I'm definitely ready for my 9th trip to Thunder!

We have just finished contacting all the flying B-17 operators, and will keep everyone posted as they confirm.
