Too bad there isn't a group here that restores aircraft to fly in CT! :?

Oh well, guess I'll have to do it.

Wow, what a beautiful restoration! In this picture, is the circular thing a trash can or a toilet?

Wow, no toilet paper? Those B-29's crews were REAL men who didn't have the luxury of T.P.! :D

When Bernie Poppert was giving a tour inside the Enola Gay to several of the original crew members a few years ago one of them pointed to this

And said "Do you know what we called this?"

"We called it the Tokyo Bomb Sight"

Certainly not politically correct by today's standards.

If any one is interested, the latest "In Action, Walk Around" series of paperback books features "Jack's Hack" as the subject of the walk around.
A lot more photos are in the book.
Author is Dennis Savage, a long time museum volunteer who helped to champion the 58th Bomb Wing to make NEAM it's home and restore the B-29.

A co-worker of mine, who happens to be of Italian descent, just recently mentioned something about that being the reason that Italian aircraft have windshield wipers on the inside of their windshields. :P

Awesome pix!
