This just sent from CenTex Wing member, and USAF captain, Pat Jopling:
"I called Jim Bower (Col Bill Bower's son), who lives up near his dad in Denver. Col Bower is not doing too well. After his 2 falls about a month ago, he's lost a lot of mobility below the waist. He's also losing his long-term memory--not knowing who's in the room with him. His family has moved him into the front room of his house and Hospice is there 24/7 now.
It's very upsetting knowing that he will probably not be with us much longer. Doctors said that since his body/heart are still strong, he may live another month or two, so please keep him and his family in your prayers and hope that he doesn't suffer."

He'll be in my thoughts... Sad, another of my heroes fading away... I am glad I go to meet two of them at Reading this year-...
