excellent point on the landing gear, at one time I had a lead on a original set of used but unused plans. I'm not sure I can still track the seller down now so will probably be waiting until Legend of Aces reissues the P-40 plans. My shop is only partly insulated at this point, depending upon my spraying year it should be fully insulated by fall just in time to start cutting wood this winter. (fingers crossed)

How much work is involved with your restoration? (does that particular aircraft use the Olds engine)

No, this airplane used the Rodeck 400 cu in V8. It was landed wheels up but is in fairly good condition. It sat in a barn for 15 years. If you go to

please see if you can find your source....many of the plans I fear may be lost like the P40 and 109. I suspect some of the plans have only come back into circulation because they were purchased back on the open market by the folks now selling them. If you don't want them then I'll buy 'em.

i'm looking, it was a contact made some yrs ago at the Byron Originals show in Ida Grove IA. I haven't encountered this gentleman for some time now but with the miracle of google i may find his number yet.
btw Legend of Aces has advised the P-40 plans are now available (just not listed on their website yet)

Do you know what the Walter / LOM M337 uses for a prop mounting? THe company website is hard to follow in its translated english and the only picture I've found shows a splined shaft coming out of a normalish looking prop flange
I've thrown in the towel on finding the old set of plans and ordered the plans from Legend of Aces. I'm very realistic so this project may never come to fruition but we'll see how the plans look and how far down this economy goes.

unfortunately it is 75%, did Jurca do a full scale P-40? I'm hoping it scales down better than some of the 75% & 66% P-51 replicas which look silly IMO

Sorry guys for not posting sooner, been on the road restoring some Warbirds. The P-40 plans are available for sale, and we did sell the MJ-12 project that was listed on Barnstormers.

Okay, so Jurca designed full scale plans for how many types? I've seen photos of an Allison engined Spitfire and a P&W 1830 Fw-190 that were finished and looked fantastic.
Everyone seems to be so critical whenever an all metal aircraft is reproduced like the FW-190's , the Me-262's and Oscars. How much would it cost per copy if someone started up a production of say a dozen Mk. 9 Spitifires and another dozen 1830 powered Fw-190's?
I would think even a replica would have no problem filling up it's airshow schedule.
