Free Museum admission on 26 Sept via a Smithsonian project

Thu Sep 10, 2009 8:31 pm

Various museums across the US are participating in free admission on Saturday, 26 Sept 09. The link below takes you to a searchable site. The Florida Air Museum in Lakeland is one of the museums participating that my family will be visiting.

Other aviation museums I saw were:
Aerospace Museum of California
Atomic Testing Museum
CAF Airpower Museum
College Park Aviation Museum
San Diego Air & Space Museum
The Museum of Flight
The National World War II Museum
U.S. Space & Rocket Center

Enjoy free general admission for you and a guest to hundreds of museums and cultural venues nationwide on Saturday, September 26, 2009.

Enjoy

Doesn't the site say Sat, Sept 26? Not this Saturday? Might try to get over to Lakelands Florida Air Museum myself, and take my warbird junky 11 year old along!

I fixed the header, sorry about that. I got the free weekend admission, this weekend, to all FL state parks by either bringing your library or donating a book confused with this post.

I was disappointed because I was busy this Saturday but looked at it anyway...Glad I did! Such a deal!!! But probably means they will be busy and not great for pics!

Ironic that Udvar-Hazy ISN'T on the list. Especially since Sully Plantation right across Rt.28 is part of the program.

Oh, yeah ... "admission" is what's free at U-H. It's parking you have to pay for.

It takes a while to print out the ticket and it looks like you will need a seperate ticket for every
museum.

So, don't wait 'til the last minute.
