Got to see the Collings Foundation aircraft at Monmouth NJ today.
B-24, B-17 and Mustang. Got a few decent Mustang shots thanks to Chuck.

I worked at that FBO for five years and got a lot of great shots from the hills on either side of the runway. Figures after getting denied approval for the warbirds visits they start getting approved by airport management after I leave. Going to visit tomorrow.

Here's one when the Berlin C54 came in to BLM. The only reason airport management allowed it was because Tim used to fly Convairs (i think it was) for his little airport airline waaay back. They are scanned so pardon the quality.

I remember when the airport in Wall had an airshow with 909 and another B-17 when the B-24 was natural metal. The headline act was Bob Hoover in the Shrike and rides were being sold in a 1930's DC-3. The first day saw the arrival of a military jet with the then Commandant of the Marine Corps aboard visiting home.

Today I got to see the Mustang go up twice as well as the B-17 and B-24 doing multiple afternoon flights. I was on B-17 ride #1. Well worth every penny. I got to experience a B-17 and fly over my hometown and the Jersey Shore.

Is it just me or does that canopy look odd. I know it's been converted to a 2 seater but..... Standing by for flak.

The real experts will chime in but I believe their answer will be that this is a faithful re-creation of a wartime 2-seater modded in the field.

Ken is right. When first built, this plane even had a correct paint scheme representing the dual modded bird. Not now though.
