I've been able to attend a little over a handful of the FHC Fly Days due to my work schedule but was able to make it up today. It was easily the most disappointing of them but in no way due to FHC. There's taxiway construction going on right in front of the viewing area so the aircraft can't taxi past like they usually do. Upupa Epops was fired up and was waiting for Tallahassee Lassee but Greg Anders turned her around and shut her down. Not sure of exact reasons but I overheard possible high temp readings. While you could tell people were disappointed that's just how things go sometimes and there's no reason to take chances. We were treated to some nice low fly-by's from Carter Teeters in the P-47 which was cool but frustrating because the individual of questionable judgement sitting in his chair in the front row who I was planning to shoot over kept standing up to take shots every time he flew by. I got a handful of shots but was rather annoyed. I also found it humorous that this woman set up her chair about 10 feet back from the rope and was upset that people were all of a sudden standing up in front of her. She was reading a book 90% of the time anyway. Well, here's a few shots of the beautiful Tallahassee Lassee.

I was wondering why I only saw the 'lassie' fly over the house this noon, too busy doing domestic stuff to make it today-

AWESOME shots!!! Thanks, what a beautiful aircraft. Almost like a wartime picture come to life in color.

Question, what is the story behind the difference in German victory marking formats?

Thanks

Thanks again Al for sharing your excellent shots.

Happy to see this P47 in the air again and really like the markings.
