For me to allow a tow pilot to fly our tow planes under the open pilot policy-they need to have around 200 hours of tailwheel time. However, I can add them as named pilots to the policy with far less on a case by case basis. Each time I add people there is a small charge. I have added people with around 200 hours total time in power and as little as 10 hours tail wheel time. These guys were also glider pilots who we trained, I trusted and were good pilots, but it can be done.
