I just found out that there will be an air show, the Ottawa Air Show, at the Carp airport on August 27th and 28th. Here is a link to a notice about the event...

http://airshow.aviation.ca/content/view/81/2/

...I haven't gone looking for an official website yet. For those familiar with the larger draws (Gennie, Yankee, Oshkosh) this is small fish, but the Carp airport is a good venue. Hopefully they can establish a regular show there. Carp could be the Geneseo of the north.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Expect a Focke-Wulf Fw 149D to be there, I'm already booked.

It's not boasting if someone asks is it? So.... What shows will you be taking the FWP-149D or Pilatus to?

Ok, Rockliffe show early august, the usual trio : P-3, Fw 149D and Harvard.

Carp show, end of august : Fw 149D (confirmed), maybe the other two.

Hmmm.... I hope the other two come to Carp as well. The show earlier in the month at the museum conflicts with Yankee (Someone obviously was not checking the airshow schedule). I know I would very much like to see the Harvard.

Tell me about not checking the scheduals. MAAM WW2 weekend, Corsairs over CT and the Ed Russell show all the same weekend. That really hurts.

One more Tim, same weekend, McQuire AFB Air show.
About the same distance as Reading and Corsairs over CT for me.

Hmmm,
How far is McGuire from Reading?

Dr. Mike will be there with the Sandy.
And the peanut wagon (124485) is also on the list.

Ahh, Here it is:
From KRDG- Reading Regional Airport/Carl A Spaatz Field
To KWRI- Mc Guire Air Force Base

66.5 nautical miles ESE
Initial true course: 109

So where are you right now? Send me an email if you don't mind. I have friend that might want to take his Champ to Geneseo. He wants to know what he needs to cross the border.
