I wondered about that, but I asked Rick Rickards if this was the FG-1D in Fleet Air Arm markings that Dennis Bradley used to bring and he said "yes". Must not have asked the question right, I guess.

BTW - that Pitts was one of the Red Devils, who were warming up to fly after Warbirds finished.

No problemo, just fun facts is all. 92106 still looks awesome from its recent restoration (few years back), and I believe 92436 is undergoing a complete resto at the same shop. As a Corsair & Pitts addict, I always enjoy pics of the two types together. Thanks for the pics.

That's Mark Murphy's new SNJ-5C from Midwest Texans. Mark is following behind in his Bonanza while my dad flew her up on Wednesday night. It left Friday morning, so it wasn't around long for people to see!

Trey, your dad must be 7 feet tall! When looking back at my pics of this birds arrival I wondered if he even closed the canopy on the trip as it looks like his head is about 3 or 4 inches higher than the canopy.

I know its been said a billion times but Ive kept my mouth shut.

But dang that CAF logo on the Hellcat looks like hammered dog poop (censored).

Until you are putting up the money to keep them flying, don't criticize the people who are. Buy your own and PAY FOR IT YOURSELF, and you can fly it till the cows come home in whatever scheme you like. These are no different than the P-47s that were flying around with the Chevron stickers a couple years ago, or the Reno Racers that show up adorned with corporate sponsorships. Until then, be grateful that other people are keeping them in the air for your enjoyment.

Thank you, but no. We do not have to own something to criticize it. Do you ever rag on the performance of the local pro sports team with your buddies? Well, shut up unless you plan to buy the team. Do you ever criticize a TV show or a movie? Shut up or buy the studio. Get the idea? Also, we can decide for ourselves what to feel grateful for, thanks again. It is about time to deep-six this stupid argument about not criticizing what other people do with their planes.

Sorry guys, but while I feel that a big logo like that would certainly take away from a Grand Champion restoration like Ron Fagan's P-40, I'd still rather see (and hear) a Hellcat with a logo than no Hellcat at all. Goes for the B-26, B-25, etc.

this is the first time i've chimmed in on the CAF sticker deal, so here i go;; i'm really glad for guys like howard pardue, rod lewis and museums like POF that fly their planes looking as close to war time orginal as possiable. they are really cool to see. but the CAF as best as i can tell maintains and flys around 63 planes making them the LARGEST operaters of warbirds in the world. so if they choose to put their sticker on their planes i have no problem with them AT ALL. i just enjoy seeing them at air shows and midland when ever i can. i can't even afford a cessna 150 to fly and to choose the paint colors , so you'll never catch me complaining about anyone or any organation's choice of how they paint up THEIR airplanes. i'm just glad to see them in the air.
