I just got through watching R. Lee's new show 'Lock and load'. In the episode on tanks at the end they ran over an old Cadillac (next time, call me first, I could have used some parts off it for my every day beater) behind what looks like a pretty cool aviation museum. I saw an F-89, F-102, C-130 in camo, and some others too small to identify. Where is that museum? Is it Palm Springs 'cause I know they shoot a lot of stuff in the Mojave for the show.

Palm Springs doesn't have an F-89, F-102/106 or C-130.

Could it be Castle. That might be a bit too far north. March Field could be a candidate, but I don't think they have a C-130. I don't think Castle does either.

I don't think there are any F-89s or F-102s in around Mojave.

Could be it be in Arizona?

The airport buildings in the frame looked like your average, small town paved field, white aluminum sides and medium blue roofing of aluminum, not a big facility like Pima or Castle, just Podunk Airfield-'it's gittin' weirder an' weirder'

I'm pretty sure I saw a P-51 in there as well, and that would fit.

Ya know, I was wondering about the location myself while watching the show last night. I didn't recognize the location, but it was obviously somewhere cold.

What surprised me was the fact that some of the restored civilian-owned tanks actually had functional main guns! (although the shot where the Stewart blew up the oil drums was obviously done with pre-set pyro charges.)

The mustang was a US Army Cavalier P-51 with tip tanks when the Minn. ANG Museum aquired it. The buildings are the old alert hangars that where used again for a while after 9-11-01. The M60 tank may still be in the Army as that area is an Army Reserve site, next to the USAF Reserve base. Check it out on Google.
