Thanks for the comments guys! The Heritage Flights had really good afternoon lighting on them.

You would had to have been quick to see this SNJ there...

Image

That's Mark Murphy's new SNJ-5C from Midwest Texans. Mark is following behind in his Bonanza while my dad flew her up on Wednesday night. It left Friday morning, so it wasn't around long for people to see!

Image

I thought this pic was cool because it looks like a big nasty flame coming out of the exhaust, but there was an orange safety vehicle behind in the distance.

The color of the paint looks weird in those shots because of the late evening light... But here are some cockpit shots before the airplane left on Friday.

Lets hear more about the latest Midwest Texans SNJ-5C. Did it win any awards? Comments? What is the next one to come from the shop? Any more pics would be appreciated.

A sure sign the recession is still on: When the owner has to wipe down his own airplane.

You must be mistaken, Rich. Only pretty girls are supposed to pose with warbirds. 8)

Here is one over Indiana on the way to OSH. Not a whole lot of room to fly and take pics.

Glenn, what you really said was, at 11:39am, while flying west at 230mph, I didn't have any bogeys sighted.

Garbs- I believe you are confusing the Corsair you saw in '09 (bu#92106) with the one you saw in '74 (bu#92436). Different airplanes, similar paint scheme.

....oh, and of course I didn't overlook the fact that you captured the top of a Pitts in that '74 shot!
