Spooky, I think you need to be a professional photographer. If you aren't already.

Thanks! I just consider myself an amateur photographer and enjoy sharing my pics with you guys. I leave for the Abbotsford show tomorrow and will get to settle in next week and post more Oshkosh (and Abbotsford) shots.

I don't think i've seen a much better grouping than this. I wish it would've flown more than one day.

And now for pics of what some of you have been waiting for... The WIX recruiting mission. :D

This is on the way from Zack's house. We were all packed in Chris' (Mustangdriver) rental car. Then a certain photog (cough, cough, AL aka Spookythecat) turned the car into a disco bar with the flash from his camera. Oh yah, Chris, did you ever get that cone out from underneath the car?

Then on to the recruiting effort. Dan K, Zack, and I really had it rough.

That cone had it coming. It was a fun night, as you can see I got a bit burned. We fit like 7 or 8 people into a Ford Crown Vic. Just always such a great time with the WIX gang

Thanks, guys (ref: Alan Brooks and flyingsailor's posts before Spooky took us to outer space with his pix). That's the exact kind of unspectacular boring stuff that really needs to be broadcast on a place like this - WIX - so that we interested erstwhile peanut gallery types might know where to go, who to contact, etc., etc., in case it becomes possible that we can jump in and give a hand in whatever form. At the very least, it's good educational reading. Debates on tramp stamps are great fun and all (my favorite, actually! :D ), but this sorta thing is useful too. :P

Great pix, Trey. Keep 'em coming. I'm about halfway through sorting mine down.

By the way, when do we start the "Official" Airventure 2009 thread? :)

(Sorry if someone's already asked in the first 22 pages)

Thank you, thank you, thank you all for the spectacular pics. I've saved a bunch of them into my screensaver folder at work. They're great for when I have someone in my office for a conference.

And while this is a warbird forum, any pics of experimentals & homebuilts would be very welcome as well!

In looking at the great shots of the Heritage Flight, I find it interesting that the F-86 flys with a nose high attitude and the booms of the P-38 make it appear to be flying with a nose down attitude. Side by each I find the look unique. 8)
