That's a handsome little beast! I wasn't aware of this particular Messerschmitt... looks like I'll be doing a bit of research on that bird.

Could make for a neat "Luftwaffe 46" what-if... :)

IIRC an off-shoot of that design, was built in India, as the Hindustan Marut.

Unfortunately that is incorrect Tulio. The Hindustan Marut was an independent designby Kurt Tank , who was contracted by India about the same time Willi Messerschmitt was working on the HA-300. The link between them was that at one point India tied up with Egypt to co-develop an engine that was never used. And India provided the test pilot to the HA-300 group (The article above is the Test Pilot's story).

Apparently Kurt Tank joined Willi aftr his contract with HAL expired but neither had any inputs in the other;s design.
