Hi Dan,

I'll be arriving weds night and leaving sun am. I've seen the Pitcairn and I know it's there.

I'm just wondering how much they've "mucked" up the place with their site "Improvements". Probably no place to eat on-site now.

Can't you just hear Poberezeny? "We needed more vendor space so we've elminated all the cafes to make it a more enjoyable (shopping) experience for our members. This is the best Oshkosh yet!"

There's still a few places to eat here Don, but as you know full well, bring your wallet full of cash. The food is expensive.

(Or maybe I'm just cheap....)

There is a pretty good vintage turn out. The barnstormers tour group is here as well. Some BEAUTIFUL aircraft!

In general, I like the changes. There are two diagonal roads from the main gate that cut down a lot of walking. The food is expensive, but not much more than lasti year or at any sports event. I agree, there are a bunch of outstanding vintage aeroplanes.
The Airbus is HUGE!

I have only seen a few pics... a nice Spartan Exec... two nice Culver Cadets... anything else standing out from the crowd?

I was there Sun-Wednesday AM and went through Vintage 3 or 4 times. i really didn't notice any vintage aircraft I hadn't seen before. I thought the "prime" vintage area looked a little thin compared to previous years.

The site updates are very nice. The diagonal walkways, the additional benches, etc. In a few years, the new trees will be a real treat as well.

There is a Laird LCB-300 there that's beautiful, unique and truly a 'thoroughbred of the skies" - you gotta check it out if you're wondering in the area.

Does anyone would share pictures of vintage aeroplanes with a "poor" buddy, who could not attend Oshkosh? Would greatly appreciate!

Kind regards from Switzerland

I know... I keep checking back to see if there are pictures! The quick reports are good but had hopes for pictures. :D

Nothing to take pictures of...

The Vintage Parking area was nearly bare of real vintage aircraft when i got there weds. The Pitcairn or Laird should have won. They could have parked all the antiques in two rows.

I don't know if this counts but this is a neat little vintage homebuilt, looks like a propeller version of the xf-92.
