They had to find it first, it was on a English beach buried under a P-38, but before it was there, it was under a TBD that is underwater off shore of a pacific island. They have proof of that, just ask them.

I have it on VERY good authority that she and Noonan actually rigged a sail to the Electra, which, with it's empty fuel tanks, functioned surprisingly well as a boat, and actually landed in Tahiti. My sources, which are impeccable, tell me that the pair remained in Tahiti and are actually buried very close to a remote village populated entirely by scantily clad and painfully beautiful native women who maintain a pledge of secrecy about the whereabouts of the explorers. I can furnish ample proof of this story provided my plan for month-long vaca- um, expedition on Tahiti is approved. It will be a perilous journey, fraught with danger, as illustrated by the following photo (NSFW):

However, I am willing to expose myself to such dangers to honor the memory of Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan.

Based on several stories that I have heard about the way that TIGHAR manages potential evidence, what are the odds that they could collect a DNA sample that would be anything close enough to legal requirements?

Might as well do DNA analysis on shoe leather.

They will say they have, and traced it to a cow from her hometown, that she used to feed and milk, that very cow everyday on her way home from flying lessons.

C'mon, didn't you guys see The Last Flight of Noah's Ark? They made a boat and sailed away together. But the castaway they think they've found is actually their love child who felt compelled to return to the island, even after rescue.

According to CSI: Pick a City, they'll be able to determine exactly what fruits and nuts she ate at the time of her death. Good thing for them, they are keeping the location where Noonan's remains actually are a secret. It's a shame that the world doesn't know the true story of his struggle to return home and return to fight, only to be have mechanical failure early in the war and crash land his P-38 fighter on a beach somewhere in England.

Doh! Did I just spill the beans?

Don't you just wonder what these guys are smokin? If you find out, I've got a neighbor who said "I'll smoke a hub cap full of that stuff if you can find it". He's my stock broker and I asked him what he was buying these days and he said "canned goods and amunition".
