Look what I found sitting in the resto shop at NMUSAF. I asked the guide if this was the ex-CAF aircraft and was told, "We were told to not talk about it."
I don't understand what the big "secret" is. They won, didn't they? Why would they not want to talk about it. SHEESH!

So...What now...they let it sit there and rot. Infuriating.

Like the man said..."What good's a little power if you can't abuse it?"

Mudge the disgusted :vom:

At least this 82 is indoors, unlike its sistership on the parade square...

It's because the games not over Mudge... the court case appeal is still going on. They probably don't want to speak in case they say something out of school and get in trouble. Not an unreasonable position if I were in their case.

Cheers,
Richard

PS. Thanks for posting the photos

Didn't see one outside. There's another in the museum.

Sorry the pic is so poor. The lighting in the museum sucks.

Mudge--

Oops. Yes, you'd have needed quite the lens to shoot the parade square F-82...she's at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas! And true, the lighting inside most of NMUSAF lends itself to contemplation, not photography...

Ummm... the CAF had it since the 70's? THe NMUSAF had it since like April. Can't blame the NMUSAF for not doing anything with it yet, since they have not had it for very long at all. I am not sure that the sit there and rot comment is justified. Also the P-82 had it's time in court. A court heard and saw everything and all evidence, something that NO ONE here has seen. And they decided in favor of the NMUSAF. THere for it belongs to them. Just because some don't like the fact, doesn't change that it is a fact.

It may have had it's day in court, but how fair is it when the side who brought the suit has UNLIMITED funds..........

Matt, there is no use talking to you because you won't bother to even consider that any opinion is valid other than yours. Post away matt, I am not responding to you as you are just trying to argue an no one wants to read this crap any more.

and what part of what I said was not true ? The AF has unlimited funds for lawyers, the CAF does not. That is how most suits are won, it is not who is right, it is who has the largest bank account.
