You will probably find this is a Rob Greinert "Jungle Bob" recovery !
Ben Morgan is involved with the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society and Rob Greinert

The Classic Wings article mentions one of 7 wrecks owned by Jerry Yagen in relation to Precision Aerospace in Wangratta Australia - Is is one of them? because he has parts of both a P-38H and P-38G in Australia and not a P-38L

Thanks

Paul

Lightning,

Tell us what region of the country, at least, this P-38 wreck was recovered from please. Did it get any publicity at all? Has it been publicly viewed at all since the recovery?

Thank you.

Jack Cook has stated that the majority of that airframe was scrapped after it crashed, unless there is ANOTHER P-38 you are talking about. ????

I presume that you haven't seen that issue of Classic Wings then !
The former owner had been collecting P-38 parts for his 2 projects for many years.
Im sure all will come out in the next issue or so of Classic Wings
"Jungle Bob's" favorite Magazine !

No, I haven't. So, are you talking about a collection of parts from one crashed P-38 or numerous ones? Can you give more details?

In the Classic Wings photo of the P-38 remains, there was pretty much a whole centre section ( minus RH boom ).
Im sure there is members of this website that know more and the full story of what was salvaged !

WTF is all the stupid secrecy about? If the bloody thing is for sale it's hardly meant to be a secret is it?
