Yes, how crazy are you? How big of a warbird would you attempt to rebuild? Would you try putting together a B-29 under supervision? Or is a Stearman the biggest you would try? Would you get into it, not knowing where you'd get the money for overhauls, etc.? Would you be willing to spend 30 years on restoration, with all of the neighbors thinking you're a mad scientist? Let's hear it..

I figure my F-84F is plenty crazy enough for me. I'm still trying to figure out the size of the building I want to build for a shop to work on things like this.

Glen- YOU ARE NOT ALONE! I founded the Seagrave Owners Association http://www.seagraveowners.org and ran it for several years before handing it over to Dave Horsnall... I had a pair of Anniversary Series engines- an open cab 400B pumper, & a closed cab 400B... Got the open cab all torn down before I ran out of cash...

As to aircraft, anything I could get my hands on, I'd love to restore(as long as WWII USAAF)

Well when I was at school I was eyeballing the A-26 project that Courtesy had (401Y.) When I had to leave school that pipe dream went away. I'd still love to be able to put together a plane someday. I've rebuilt old tractors before and the feeling you get when they first start running again is something that can't be explained.

Right now of course I'm hoping I can start on something smaller (maybe a long term project car) or finding someone that needs a mechanics assistant until I can go back to school and finish up my A&P
