I hope Steve Dickey is watching. anything new over there? has LSFM given the go ahead on their airplanes? is Nelson and Howard planning on racing at Reno again this year? anything anyone has will be appreciated. :?:

I was just there last Friday, and to my knowledge, the racing plans are the same as always, but I'm sure that's subject to change.

I know there may be another project coming into the shop soon, but I don't know if it's one of those top secret things or not, so I should probably wait until someone else says anything there.

Come on over for a visit! You don't live very far
We are heading to Reno again this year for another turn at the pylons, I'm planning on going :D . As far as LSFM A/C I think they are still waiting on money to come in.

Now that is good news -- I'd been hearing that Howard had retired again! Both airplanes coming?

How about Stew Dawson? It would be nice to have the whole Texas compound in the pits once more...

Howard's annual retirement is much like Southwest Airlines last chili cook-off each year.

Dawson told me to buy an airline ticket and load all my tools in the trailer, so I guess we're going.

Thank you Steve -- I'd like to meet you, as you're involved with airplanes I love and people I admire...

I'll try to come by early in the week, before things get too busy.

Here are a couple of shots by my wife Birgitta, who is pretty good with a camera too. The first is a serious bit of discussion after a heat race last year, and the second is Stew Dawson fending off a reporter who is trying to get to another well known Texas warbird owner...

"Spirit of Texas" has absolutely the best paintjob on a currently-flying Sea Fury. Completely beautiful.

What, you mean you don't like 911's tasteful, understated paint job? :)
