wasn't familiar with it when it was an extinct type. Never saw any combat photos of one in all my childhood reading of WW II stuff. Fascinated with it now. It is one of the more timeless, modernistic designs to come out of WW II.
It looks like you could put a nosewheel on it, two Garretts, and an all plexiglass nose without the framework and it could give an OV-10 a run for its money.
The performance figures for the FW-189 are quite a bit better than a lot of allied designs with much bigger engines.

Isn't that interesting how that goes? I have had that happen with plenty of WWII. I love the look along with that of its competitor, the Bv-141. The complexity of the greenhouse design on those two aircraft always amazes me.
