The Canadian Warplane Heritage's Avro Lancaster will be making its longest trip from Hamilton in almost 20 years this July and August.
Oshkosh, Wisconsin - EAA AirVenture (
http://airventure.org). The Lancaster will be on display at Aeroshell Square from Monday July 27 until mid-day on Friday July 31.
Edmonton, Alberta - Alberta Aviation Museum (
http://albertaaviationmuseum.com). The Lancaster is expected to arrive around 5 pm on Friday July 31. The museum will be open extended hours so that as many visitors can view and tour inside the Lancaster. Friday July 31 5 pm to 9 pm, Saturday August 1 10 am to 9 pm and Sunday August 2 10 am to 9 pm. Admission rates apply. The Lancaster will be leaving Edmonton on the weekend for approximately 2.5 hours each day to participate in flypasts at the Cold Lake (Alberta) Air Show - times TBA.
Winnipeg, Manitoba - Western Canada Aviation Museum (
http://wcam.mb.ca) - The Lancaster is expected to arrive around 2 pm on Monday August 3. Special admission rates apply. The museum will be open extended hours so that as many visitors can view and tour inside the Lancaster. Monday August 3 2 pm to 7 pm and Tuesday August 4 9:30 to 7 pm.
North Bay, Ontario - A brief stop from 2 pm to 4 pm on Wednesday August 5 (In support of Project Flanders).
