Excellant photo tour! Thanks for taking the time to post this. For those of us that get the Military Ch. keep an eye out for a show called, "Digging up the Trenches" Its a fasinating look at the opposing trenches dug up by a group of historians just outside of Ypres. Amazing the history they uncovered a few feet below the surface.

The whole place because asea of mud into which, on occasion, whole carriages including the horses, disappeared. I have a feeling my relative on the Menin Gate became fertiliser when he went missing.
