hi all,

here is a request from a very good friend of mine, help him if you can please.

Otterkins.

Canada has one of the most beautifully restored Bf-109 F-4's in the world, yet there is not one single walkaround on line that has been done. Can someone PLEASE trundle down to the Canadian Aviation Museum and take about a zillion photos of this beast? Take a look at Grubbyfinger's walkarounds and you'll see the kind of in depth photos I'm talking about. When you upload, please send a copy of the original photos to me. I COUNT RIVETS...so large images are most helpful and greatly appreciated.

I can dig mine out, but it will be a few days as I'm not near my main computer.

I would love to see some pictures!
There is a place here in the States, Colorado that has two Bf-109 F-4's
It would be great to see a full walk around of the complete restored aircraft!

Messerschmitt Bf 109F-4 (WNr.10144)
Code:
Brief History of Bf 109 Wk. Nmr. 10144
This aircraft was built in 1942 in Leipzig, Germany. Records show that this aircraft was a Norwegian patrol aircraft which flew the Murmansk sector of Russia and was shot down in World War II by Russian forces. It was last flown by Fw. Albert Brunner, a 53 victory Ritterkrueztrager of 6./JG 5. It was marked Yellow 7 and lost on 05 September, 1942 reportedly after an airbattle. Brunner walked away from the crash and returned after 4 days. The aircraft remained where it came to rest in Northern Russia until it was recovered by Warbird Recovery in the winter of 1994. It took a Jet engine on the back of a truck to melt the remains out of the ice of the frozen lake where the aircraft was found. All remaining pieces were shipped to the Warbird Recovery facility in Broomfield, Colorado.

A walkaround of Werk. No. 3579 can be found here, along with a vast amount of other info and references on the Me 109.
