Congrats Conrad. During WWII most of the guys flying Mustangs were your age & younger. In 1944 when my dad was flying combat he was one of the old men in his Group, he was 26.
With Best Regards

Hey Jack,
My take on this is you we're just telling Conrad - when your Dad gets another mustang so both of you can fly formation together then I'll help ya pick a accurate paint scheme for it !!! LOL...
Mike

And congrats Conrad !!! Way to go !!!

The panoramic-looking aerial scenes in the YouTube film would look great in IMAX! 8)

maybe you all can focus on a wildcat paint scheme and story? That would be more feasable.

Fantastic!

( I don't know if I'm more depressed because it was not me at 21 doing that or more excited to see a youngster with this kind of gumption)

I have seen a whole lot of 21 yearolds that have a hard time walking much less strapping on a P-51!

Great stuff, great video and congratulations Conrad! (and Mom and Dad) !

Well Conrad let me tell you about my cousin Don who flew Wildcats on the Canal with Joe Foss in VMF-121
and later made ace in the Corsair before he was KIA.

Conrad, Jack wants to repaint the Mustang in the markings of Pappy Boyington's "Lucybelle". He thinks that Pappy is much better deserving of the honor than Chuck. :o

We have no problem with Yeager, the paint stays.

Sorry mustanglover I am reprofiling airfoils and clipping canopies.

Only one comment about the video - It's just too funny to see all of those pretty airplanes and then.... Carl Best.... :)

Awww...leave Carl alone.

Hey, I'm definitely a Carl Best fan. I love the 20 year (or is it now 30 year?) paint plan especially. :)

Soloing the P-51 is not the big deal Conrad. Getting mixed up with the likes of these guys on Wix is where the real danger is. Hope you had a good birthday, we were up there the day before and couldn't get back up Sunday, but got a report from Terry Adams that all went well. Really enjoyed the video.
