The museum restoration team is looking for any and all pics that anyone might have of the Memphis Belle. No matter what pics you have, if you are willing to share, please post them here. They are really looking for WWII era stuff, but I thought it would be cool to see different pics of her through the years. No picture is unwanted of the Belle. Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming that the stuff I shot two months ago is pretty common, and that I shouldn't waste yer time, right?

That's pretty funny. Much more esoteric than the predictable P-82. Nice.

The belle restoration team as well as myself have nothing to do with the F-101 and F-105. I just thought this would make for a good thread that could be used for some good.

Sorry Chris, saying your not part of the F-101/105 deal because you are in restoration does not fly. if you are part of a originaztion that does stuff like that, you are approving of it by your membership. Until you say you have gone and pounded on the 600lb ape with the stars on his shoulders door and demanded to be heard, you are part of the problem.

Matt, go back and read what Gary said in that thread, and he said it several times.

He doesn't want folks to get all tweaked up until a final decision's been made. There is the (remote) possibility that it could affect what happens with Gary and those aircraft. I'm assuming that, no matter what you think of the players invovled, that you're not in a hurry to potentially damage Gary here.

And I'm pretty sure that Chris doesn't make any major decisions over at the NMUSAF, so you might try being a bit less hair-triggered towards him too.

If you've gotta e-hate around here, send it to me in a PM. That way, you vent and feel better, and Gary doesn't feel like he's risking the future of two aircraft just because he's a member here.

*edited to add* Chris doesn't say that he's part of the Memphis Belle restoration team. It's written so that you can tell they're two separate entities.

And as a member of the museum when I go that route and suggest things sometimes, sometimes it is heard by some and given validity. it goes alot further than just sitting back making smart comments on the internet about someone that is just trying to help.

All I am trying to do is help the Memphis Belle. I don't care about politics, just that this B-17 is the most complete and accurate B-17 restored. The Memphis Belle is a very important part of our history, and I thought that this would be the proper place to get some help.
