PLEASE READ THIS:

The guy was invited to take pictures here on the CFM ramp by the crew of the B24. This was early morning before the museum opened. He was told to wait on the ramp until the B24 got back. On his own, he followed the B24 down the taxiway on foot. He then crossed the parallel Taxiway. Then crossed the ACTIVE runway, to get a better shot. The police were called by the Tower and held him while a background check was run. When everything came back good, they released him. He has appoligized and admitted he was wrong. What more do you need?

Well maybe your post will calm things down a little. This thread is EXACTLY like the TSA Stockton thread. Much ado about NOTHING!!!

So basically this thread is wrong as airport security acted in the correct manner.

Well, the thread isn't completely wrong........They do need to update the picture of the B-24 on the newspaper's website. ;-)

The story about putting a french in a frying pan and slowing turning up the heat until it dies comes to mind. We are now that french.

Remember that your tax dollars are being used to keep you under control We (the aviation community) are now the problem and not the solution. Fear is a great motivator of increased bureaucracy.

We should all be getting mad at this invasive and insidious abuse of power.

OK, I just have to laugh now... instead of the filter trying to cut out a "derogatory" word - it now inserts the French into a story about a real FR0G!!! LOL!!! Oh, and I had to use the zero (0) key to make that work!

Have you had time to read my post? The airport police were completely right. He was doing something wrong and was told not to do it. He still did it anyway by sneaking around off the ramp. He claimed he didn't know... it's like crossing an entrance ramp to a tollway, then crossing the tollway. Only this time airplanes were taking off and landing instead of cars. They had to stop operations until the police came. They were much nicer to him than I would have been. No Gestopo involved at all.

You have got to be kidding me. Why is this wordfilter even there, let alone why it was put there to start with.
