Yea that was pretty bush league choosing jets over warbirds wasn't it. (But I guess going out and playing with the TBM today makes up for it...)

I was on the ramp waiting for a Dak ride when the MiG and Jerry were up. The Mig was going right over our heads and Jerry wasn't that far out. Of course I only had the point and shoot at that point...arg...

Nice shots guys. I took tons of shots, but haven't got a chance to download any of them. If anything is good, I'll post them later.

Great shots all! Love the Lizzie paint. It's that "if you missed me you must be blind" paint scheme!

Anyone know what happened to the Fleet Fort, Fleet 21 and Widgeon they had at one time? I did not see them this year. Seems like they could use a small expansion of the hangar to accomodate the growing fleet of aircraft and statics.

The Fleet 21 and Fort are being worked on off-site. I think at Welland Airport.

The Widgeon is on loan to the Museum at Rockliffe.

Thanks for the quick response. Do you know if they're being brought back up to flying status?

The museum has done a great job these last few years getting aircraft active and out there again. I'd love to see the Anson and Crane get some attention again and return to the skies.

Yes I think so. In fact I was told they were expected back at the Museum for Flyfest. I'm not sure if the plans changed, or the weather had something to do with it or what.

I too would love to see the Anson and Crane back in the air. However, I'm not sure if it is possible without major work and money.

The Anson looks pretty fragile, hopefully its not as bad as it looks.

The Anson and Crane it is hoped will get some attention in the coming years to get them back into the air.
Show me a warbird that doesn't take money to restore or keep in shape!
I understand the Fleet 21 received some new fabric and colored dope or paint over the winter and is almost ready to return to CWH. Fort should be back soon as well.

I had heard that's what they traded to get the Tutor. I must have been misinformed.

BTW I would love to see the Anson back in the air! (although I'm probably too young to have seen it in the air in the first place)
