For purely selfish reasons I must ask if you took any photos during your visit to Mr. Agnew's farm
yes

I like it! Especially the Giant Wasp look! Better than some half baked jetski paint job with fake nose art and dumb decals!
Congrats to all involved!!

Please excuse my ignorance here, and if this has already been addressed in this thread, I'm sorry....I just didn't notice it.............but is the engine in the Lysander a sleeve valved engine, like the Centaurus, or is it more "conventional?"

Now how did I know that you did?
If you ever have time to post some I know I'd love to see them.

It's more 'conventional'.
The Mercury is a 9-cyliner, single row radial engine with conventional ‘poppet’ valves, unlike later Bristol sleeve-valve engines. This engine has four valves per cylinder – an unusual feature for a radial engine.

The museum has several bristol mercury cores to work with. At this time it is planned again to put the Bristol Mercuries on the Bolingbroke. We do not have a full spare built up as of yet for the Lysander. The engine should last many years and the thought of putting something else other than the Bristol on the Lysander, just doesn't seam right. A 1340 would be underpowered as the Bristol puts out some 800+ HP depending on the variant (Model XV= 840 hp and XX = 870 hp).

After watching The Defender a hundred times or so, I couldn't help but notice what looked like a Bolingbroke sitting outside Diemert's shop. Would that happen to be one of those you pictured, Jack? I don't recall the target tug paint scheme though.
By the way, I love the paint scheme on the Lysander! Y'all did a great job on that and it doesn't look like everyone else's Lysander........well, you know what I mean.

Actually, it was just before the cow chasin'. I want to say it was either in the very opening scene (which may be a B-25 nose, now that I think about it), or later on when they pan out a little to show more of his property.
