what ever happened to the lake erie / ohio islands based trimotor operated by island airlines "the world's shortest airline"???? she crashed on the lake ice in 1977, during 1 of the worst ohio winters on record, fortunately the ice was so thick, they were able to salvage everything, nothing broke through the ice. she was red white & blue, nicknamed the tin goose. i flew on her in 76 on an ice fishing expedition to middle bass island. last i heard after that crash she went to florida after being sold. i know she's still out their, but not under that cosmetic scheme, or she's still not re-built after all these years. regards, tom
