Hey guys first time post, I live right behind the Goderich Airport and have confirmed there is no lightning there. There is a lightning coming in that we heard about when the seafury that resides at the CWH stopped in for gas leaving Oshkosh last year
There is however a P-51 due to leave next monday or tuesday, if I get pictures i`ll be sure to post them. Sorry not sure what one it is but apparently it is a combat veteran

Hmmm....when did you check? My source said the P-38 came in about 2 weeks ago, had the paint stripped and then left and headed back to the US last week for some repairs. He said after that was done that it would be coming back up to be painted. Thanks for the info on the P-51, also is there a white Albatros there right now?

There was this plane(is it a Albatros?) that left before winter and did some awesome low passes

It left the same day as the Fighter Factories B-25 "Wild Cargo"

There is another mustang here and a DC-3 with turbines both in the paint shop

Yep that's the one. I was there that day, that Albatros did some amazing low flybys. It was also great to see Wild Cargo. Up until that day I didn't even know Sky Harbor was there.

It has been confirmed by one of the employees of Sky Harbour that the P-38 is indeed Putt Putt Maru from Texas. The -38 was stripped of its paint when it arrived and then flown back to Texas for some repairs, it is currently having engine problems but once that has been worked out it will be flown back to Goderich to be painted. Still no info on the owner yet.

Hmmm...well that just makes eveything really confusing. :?

I wonder which 38 came to Goderich then...? The guy I know up there said one of the other employees was sure it was Putt Putt but I guess it wasn't.

BTW thanks for the info Jim.

Wow I was there that day with my dad so I probably looked right at you haha, it is funny how that works.

This is the only shot I got of the Albatros and B-25 when they left

I live right behind the airport on the lake side. Did you see my 69 Chevelle there, I remember I drove it down that day.
The P-51 owner flew in 2 days ago in a T-34 and they both left yesterday, they did 1 pass each and then a formation pass. I parked right under the short runway and they both went right over me 8)

Wow, small world eh? Me and my dad came out to see it, we were camping at Point Farms and got buzzed by the B-25 so we headed over to see what was going on, we didn't know that they had the paint shop there. Turned out to be a pretty good day. :P

Just wondering how many warbirds do they do there a year? We'll be up in the area again several times this summer, it'd be cool to see some stuff there.

It`s strange, when they have some warbirds there, its usually several, its a hit and miss ordeal. I`ve known about the P-38 since last August and one time we waited over a year to see a Corsair finally show up. Nothing is ever set in stone. A fact you may have not known is that the CWH lancaster sat directly across from the airport for years before the CWH selected it for restoration.
