The smoke you saw was number two running a little rich. Credit for the flight has to go to those indivuals involved. Pete Loguda, Spike, Bob Pauley, Chuck Carl, Jerry and a host of others that have toiled on her over the years. Squawks were at a minimum and should be dealt with fairley easily. A very good start at this point. She'll fly again this morning. I'll try to post some more pics.

Fantastic news! Here's a picture I took of it back in...what?...1982 or so? It was a long road back but well worth the wait.

That picture is much later than that. She sat for several years with nothing being done with her. The CAF TBM used to be parked off the right wing. I started playing with warbirds about a month after the B-25 arrived. I had the glass nose in my backyard for several months doing paintstripping. It took several years for the grass to grow there again. I had my right ring finger nail crushed while trying to remove the right oil cooler, I made up ALOT of new words when that happened.

Great job people! This is fantastic. I think we need RSS updates on warbird restorations, though! I never knew this was going on.

Awesome news !!!

I've been going to the CAF regularilly for many years, talked some to the people working on her. It must be a great feeling to finally see her fly !!!

Congrats everyone ! I will be in Phoenix next Tuesday and will drop by to see her. See you there !

I watch too much TV, APPARENTLY! :)

PS- I landed in Phoenix a couple of times on the way to Orange County, you'd think they'd have had notices up in the terminal onm the progress!
