There was someone in a P-51 Mustang and what looked like either a Spitfire or maybe another mustang i didnt get a good look at it before it flew off. But they were doing loops and barrel rolls at an insanely low level and going at high speeds. It was so awesome , I wish i had a camera but i was on the highway when i saw them buzzing around so i stopped and watched for about an hour. There was also someone in a Spits Bi-plane i think and he was flying under a bridge then going straight up and doing loops and all sorts of insane stunts. It made my trip to Memphis alot better.
So can anyone tell me who these guys were and what exact aircraft they were flying in?
Very gratifying to see such an exciting post. The performance you saw was the Memphis in May Sunset Symphony Air Show. This was the third year that we did it. It is a great venue for an air show and a lot of fun to fly down on the river, between the two bridges and in front of the Sunset Symphony stage and audience. Friday's performance was a practice and the weather was perfect. Saturday was the real deal and the weather almost knocked us out. We managed to get 80% of the show in after the rain moved out of the box.
The show went like this:

WWII trainer parade, PT-22, PT-17, AT-6 (times 2)
AT-6 solo aerobatic demo
T-33 (times 2) fly bys
Fighter fly bys (Hawker Sea Fury and P-51)
Sea Fury solo aerobatic demo
P-51 solo Aerobatic demo
Skip Stewart (modified Pitts S2S)
All of the airplanes in the show are local Memphis owned except the Sea Fury, P-51 and the T-33s. The Sea Fury, and one of the T-33s belong to the CAF and are based at the Memphis CAF Squadron. The P-51, Gunfighter, is also with the CAF out of the Great Plains Wing.
