Ran across this unidentifed Beech and need some numbers on her. Anybody have a clue. this was taken Sept/Oct 03 according to the guy that shot the picture. he said I could have it and add to my Ko-Lection

That looks like one that belongs to CAF member Neils Agather, son of Vic Agather who basically got FIFI for the CAF back in the early 70s. Neils lives in Dallas and I think the plane is based at Addison. Sorry I don't have more info at the moment.

Although they do look similar, actually that Beech belongs to someone else and is based at Vintage Flying Museum on Meacham Field in Fort Worth.

Yeah, that's Ray's bird (the tail letters, KR, are for his last name). Ray's a great guy. He is a big supporter of both the VFM and CAF and attends almost every event in the DFW area with either his Beech or as part of the Chuckie crew. :)

As for Neils's Beech, I'm pretty sure it has either "VA" or "AG" on the tail for Vic Agather or Agather respectively, and I seem to remember Neils telling me that the plane was restored by Vic and his sons as a "family project" years ago.

Ray's ship is a civil D-18S with modified wingtips (extended tips for higher gross weight). He has it marked as a Navy "JRB-6". Those in the know about Twin Beeches are probably aware that there was no JRB-6, only JRB-1 through -5. Ray did that so that no one could rag on him for impersonating a real military aircraft, since there was no such thing! Clever. 8)

Ray is a great guy with a great sense of humor, and he keeps his Beech in top condition. We're glad to have 'er parked in our hangar!

It has been a while since I have seen Ray's Beech and yes, it is his in the photo, I agree, and not Neils. Sorry for the incorrect info.
