Stopped by today to see what was flying. Beautiful weather, not too many people.

Where were you standing for the Corsair picture?
And you are a much better photographer than I.
But it was a beautiful day. Saw all the flyers go except the AE-1E. And possibly the P-40N (not sure if it went up).
Its the first time I got to see the inside of the B-24 since it became Ol' 927, and it was as nice inside as out.
Who does the Mustang belong to?

Lewis' ship is one of my favourite Mustangs. I love the postwar markings and the gleaming mirror finish. What a beauty!

I went over to Addison for about 30min before I finally made it back over to Meacham Field to try and help out on Chuckie.
No offense intended in any way shape or form to anybody in the world: No I'm not gonna pay to repaint it, yes I know when I get a P-40 I can paint it whatever color I want, yes I know a lot of hard work and money went into the plane and P-40s are one of my all time favorite planes. That being said...the CAF P-40 has got to have the ugliest paint scheme I've ever seen on an airplane. Authentic or not, that's just nasty. Still I was glad to see it back in one piece and sitting in the sunshine.

I kind of like it, its different. I had heard about the new authentic scheme, but it took me a while to realize its the CAF P-40 (it doesn't have the logo decal anywhere). To bad the CFM P-40 was in pieces at the time. Would have been nice to have them side by side.

Got the whole sequence of it folding its wings. Made me remember last year when one of the guys unfolding the wings on the LSFM Hellcat got pinched
The guys working on this H-34 have done an incredible job in just a short time
There are some other shots in the album showing the progress on this helicopter
The flag wasn't cooperating, I never could catch it completely unfurled
There was a Mustang there after all
The Cavanaugh P-40 couldn't come out to play this time. This picture is from a few days ago, the engine was off and the fuselage was tucked in the corner during the show.
It wasn't outside, but at least I could get a shot of the whole plane
There is a picture floating around the internet of a guy "mooning" the camera plane from inside an A-26. Is this the plane? And does anyone know the story?
My daughter and I had a great time, she finished the last two requirements for her Girl Scout aviation badge.

Huh, last time I saw FF-704 it had rocket pods and drop tanks on. Still looks nice

Yes it can go to shows and flyins. Takes a lot of gas at 125 knots. It's a great static as we open the back up and give tours, like a C130.
