MS. 406 camouflage

Greetings all,

this sample machine have very interesting camouflage:

Any ideas? It look like it have darker rear fuselage.

Fascinating pic! It looks like there's something on top of the left wing..kind of like the conformal "slipper" tanks the Luftwaffe experimented with on Fw-190s.

I know that there is bulge for the wing armament. Maybe combination of camouflage and dirt make this impression but better to let it to some who is expert in field to gtive answer. I am also wondering, as you are :)

I have read that the Morane 406 and 410 used electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical operations in every system. Don't know if it is true. When the Finns put Soviet Klimov engines in theirs they improved the performance significantly.

Hi !

This MS 406 (Morane Saulnier Nbr: 1019 ; S/N french Army:L-609) is the general Pinsard's personal plane.

It is painted in black with the top and in gray-blue with the lower part.
It carries the SPA 26's badge. The former squadron of Pinsard.

There is no tank on the wing. This is a problem of quality of photograph.
