Anyone have any pics of Tony Levier in the '47 cleveland air races?

I found this one on http://www.airrace.com/

Were all the pylons the same configuration? Any pics of from the other pylons (of any aircraft)?

I've been looking for something on that for you, Chad, but no joy. That would be kinda cool to set a Jeep up like that and drive it around at the airshows, huh?

I wonder if they moved the drivers seat and steering wheel to the top?
I've got a 1945 CJ-2A and I can't imagine putting something like that on top of it!
Here's my Jeep dressed as "Sarge" from the animated film "Cars".

While it looks real neat, the Bendix Pylon was not mounted to the Jeep. There is a picture of this same pylon in "Racing Planes and Pylons".

If you purchase the origional 1/72nd scale F2G corsair kit from USK, there is a picture on the box of the 1947 Goodyear pylons mounted on truck beds.

Thanks Kenn

So were all 4 pylons named differently with different sponsors?

That would make quite the jeep display Gary!
