Here are a couple of models I am doing as a surprise for a customer. His Uncle was shot down on one of the first P-51 missions of the 8th AF. His plane was flown by Gentile on the first P-51 mission.
His name was Kenneth Peterson, he flew with the Eagle Squadron, then went to the AAF and the 4thFG, 336thSq, and flew P-47s, then moved to the P-51B.

His plane was 43-6696, coded VF F,
I am building 2 P-51B's on in 1/48th and the other in 1/32.
The 48th scale is the Monogram version, and the 1/32 is from Revell.
I decieded to try something different in that I painted most of it before assembly, or as it was going together, with sprays of Future as I went along. For 2 old kits, both went together with very little filler, and really no problems.

The codes were made on the computer and printed on a ink jet printer
