Just spent the weekend on a whirlwind trip from Ohio to Wisconsin to acquire more "treasures". Left Friday night about 6pm and go back home Sunday morning at 0400am. Bought two 1928 Waco 10's. One is complete and the second was a fuselage and complete gear with some misc. parts and paperwork. Mine has not flown since Aug. 1940. Mine also came with the engine (an OX-5 "Tank") but I sold the engine and cowling to someone braver than me as I intend to put a Wright on mine.

We also just rented a very large hangar at Moraine Airpark (I-73) in Dayton, Ohio and will be moving 7 Wacos into the hangar. If your ever passing thru Dayton feel free to stop by!

You're not an addict, Andy. You can quit anytime you want to.

Seriously, great stuff!

Which Wright, a J-5?

Dave

Can't afford a Wright J-5. Would be an R760-8. However, the easiest and cheapest thing is a 220 Continental so may go that route. Have to finish the other Waco RNF before we dive into this project.

I'll post some photos once we all get situated in the new hangar

Oh man...............now I did it. You do know that some of us N3N owners are in your Waco club for the newsletter so when Wright parts show up, they get a chance to get on the WRIGHT airplane........ :D
