I am finally  reading Zemke's Wolf Pack.

Great book - and it started me wondering if anyone knows of any filmed interviews with him. I'd really like to hear the man speak. 8)

Thanks a lot!

There is a UK-produced DVD that has an interview with Zemke - I have a copy that I picked up off of eBay a few years ago. I don't have it handy, but if I recall correctly the title is "The Hunter and the Hunted". I'll look around and see if I can find it and post more details when I do.

The DVD is called "The Hunter Becomes the Hunted" based on the artwork of the same name by William Phillips. The video is a roundtable discussion with Hub Zemke, Wolfgang Kretschmer of JG1, and Robert Shoens and Harold Stearns of the 100th BG, and hosted by William Phillips. They are discussing the circumstances depicted in the painting.

HTH,

Zack

Zack -

Thanks! :D

It doesn't get much better than that - the 56th FG and the 100th BG. I'll keep a lookout for that DVD.

Doh! Don't know how I forgot it - EAA produced a video called "Oshkosh Remembers the Heroes of WWII: Vol. 2" that includes a segment with Hub Zemke, Robert Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Bud Mahurin, and Gabby Gabreski filmed during their visit to the convention back in 1993. I believe it is still available through the EAA giftshop: http://shop.eaa.org/index.html
