Watched the Old Girl departing Addison and turning left towards Victoria at 12:15pm today. Whomever is on the flight let us know how it went!

Do you mean after the reconfiguration of the beast, or after this year's winter maintenance? If you mean the reconfiguration, they're on this thread, somewhere. As far as the post-winter maintenance flight(s), I dunno.

What is it you propose we rename this thread? Just curious!
This thread has come a long way in letting folks know what really goes on behind the scenes of aircraft restoration/reconfirguration. I want to make sure if this thread does change names that you all that have followed this thread from the begining, know what I'm talking about!!! This has given many of the lookers an inside view of many things in the warbird world that were hidden or off limits to the public until it's finished. I will always give it to Gary for his wisdom and generosity, to share this insight.
I know first hand, how much time it takes to take the pictures, put them into photobucket, write the descriptions of what the photos are about and post them after the preview to make sure you didn't screw it up. Then field the questions about what you just posted!
It takes alot of time and Gary has given you that! If you decide to start another thread or change the name of this one, please make sure, he in some way, gets the credit he earned!

I don't think the thread title needs changing. This is what it has been since it was started. There is no reason to change it. Also, as new things are done to Ole'927, it fits right in with the transformation that this thread has shown.

The "2006 and Beyond" is a good addition to the title. I just can't believe it's been that long ago though!

Ol'927 went to Victoria,Tx. last weekend and she did really great with the flight down and back. I think they got in a media ride with acouple paid riders but the weather turned out to be less than ideal for any more rides. She's doing rides this weekend and next, from Addison, so come on out and see her! After that, it's off to Sun N Fun!! I can't say enough about the group of guys up there, gettin R done! They have given me the ability to stay focused on the business of FIFI down here in Midland and for that they get a big HooRah! Since I haven't been there for awhile, I have no pictures to post but I will encourage them to do so.

Hey everyone! There are daily video clips on line from Sun-N-Fun. Check 'em out, but day #3, part 2, has some good video of "Ol' 927" and "Rednose"! These are from Focus TV and the link is
http://www.thefocusmagazine.com/plantcity.shtml
Also check out the daily updates from the CAF website at
www.CommemorativeAirForce.org. I wish I was there, but it did not happen...........maybe next year!
