I certainly hope he gets his due. I believe the only Spit I ever saw fly was Cliff Robertson's Mk IX with Billings at the controls (back in the late '80s/early 90s when the plane lived at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo.)

Seems the VA isn't the only government organization set up to frustrate veterans. Good to see Canada following the US model.

Canada's department of veterans affairs is notorious for its shoddy treatment of its Vets, this is just another sad example.

On further reflection, in the interest of fairness I realized that I have seen one other Spit in the air, in fact it was the first I ever saw fly, at Jeffco back in 1984.
