Maybe so, but you get to go to sleep 3 hours before I do!

Took these with the wife's camera, so not much zoom power unfortunately. You wouldn't have seen the plane for the dust on the CCD of my Canon though! Hope to get that fixed by airshow time.

These were taken at Chino by the way.

I don't know about that, I sort of like the 'what point in time' aspects of those pictures, looks like the ones we all took at the start of our photo collecting journey decades ago with a KODAK HAWKEYE or INSTAMATIC 110 clutched in our sweaty juvenile hands and the overhead pass gives a nice effect of speed shrouded in a mystery-I'd call it good!

Ha ha. I have loads of photographs from years back, showing tiny little indeteminate dots in the sky!!! I am pretty sure one of them is a Mosquito, apart from that... Yep, hadn't even heard of zoom in those days.

Mysterious photos shot through a overcoat "Button" camera!

Looks like my instamatic shots from the 70's! Great to see another class act flying! His squadron is building.

Nice to see a Bearcat flying in more unique markings... and without ridiculous nose art.

I don't think so, I believe this is one of the original CAF Bears which crashed in the 70's, IIRC.

No.
This one was run out of gas and landed short with a flip or cartwheel involved.
IIRC Lloyd Nolen was flying but might be wrong on that. Vertical and canopy were smashed, fus was bent, L/H wing had been pushed aft with damage to rear spar carry through and wing spar was bent.
Other than that it was in great shape. I think it was damaged in the early 70's.
Came to Chino when Stephen Grey's P-38 arrived around 87 or so. The P-38 Stephen had came from Lefty Gardner as did this Bearcat.
