Static display only of warbirds and modern military at the main terminal ramp at Forth Worth's Meacham Field. Please stop by the Vintage Flying Museum on the South end of the airport and see B-17G "Chuckie". She's down for maintenance right now, othewise she would be with the rest of the show.

I bought my tickets to Texas today. I'll be there Friday and Saturday hanging out with "Hostage Lady".

Any idea how easy/difficult it is to get between DFW and Meacham Field, would I need to rent a car or is it possible to do by public transport?

Renting a car would be easiest. Its about a 20 to 30 minute drive depending on traffic. Don't forget to come by and see us at the Vintage Flying Museum. Let me know if you need directions.

Rent a car for sure. Last year I took a cab from DFW to Meacham and the cab fare was $75.00. The cab driver got lost, and I got to see Texas Speedway, but renting a car would be cheaper and certainly faster...

Drove by the field today...saw a little black airplane circling the field with that gaudy smoke going! hehe

They had a V-22 on the field as well...

Combat Search & Rescue. They've replaced the MH-53 Pavelow III which was retired in October of last year. The new CSAR-X that is (hopefully) coming online in the next decade will replace the HH-60G Pavehawk.
